S.S.R. books

just get lost in my story and then it is time to end free reading! I finally pieced it together and realized that my reading of a book is very fragmented if read only 15 minutes a day.

I have been experimenting and I discovered that when I brought the book home with me to read at night and read it during school for S.S.R., it has increased the enjoyment of the story. My theory is that I am allowing ample time to get hooked into the story and time to get to know the characters.

Upper School Outside Reading

. Your books are always due the day your speech/report/project/assignment is due.

When you return your books, you will be able to check out materials for the next project. If you fail to return your books, I will not check out new books to you until your other ones are back. This way, there will always be materials available for your classmates when they need them.

My favorite book of the summer was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I re-read HP5 and HP 6 to refresh the details before HP7. Like many of you, I am sad that a great series had to come to an end. Her ending left me feeling satisfied, though.
